Karin Pavey
Karin was born and grew up in Toronto, ON.
She began her ceramic studies in Sweden and is a graduate of both Sheridan College and the Nova Scotia College of Art & Design where she received a BFA.
Karin was a ceramic instructor at the Gardiner Museum for many years. In addition, she has taught at Sheridan College, the ROM, Avenue Road School of the Arts and the Toronto District School Board.
She currently works in her Toronto west end studio and teaches part time.
Karin is an established and respected Canadian potter whose colourful tableware has been exhibited in North America and Europe. She has been the recipient of many awards and honours, including grants from the Ontario Arts Council, and her work has been showcased extensively in both public and private collections.
Karin travels frequently to Europe, where she continues to draw inspiration for her work.
