Bruce’s current work is made with stoneware clay, and gas fired in a reduction kiln or a soda or wood fired atmosphere.

His forms are thrown (and often altered), or constructed from thrown sections, and are contemporary expressions of historical models, having "reinterpreted and revitalized” old traditions of vessel making.
